Start using the app?

To begin using the DigiD app, you need to activate it first. Simply open the DigiD app and follow the step-by-step instructions provided.

How do I log in with the DigiD app?

Logging in with the DigiD app can be done in two ways:

1. On your phone or tablet, you can log in with a pin code.
2. Alternatively, you can log in on a computer using the app. This involves entering a verification code and pin code after scanning a QR code.

DATA PROCESSING & PRIVACY

The DigiD app processes various data elements, including:

• IP address
• Name and version of the operating system on your smartphone or tablet
• Unique identifier of your mobile device
• Your mobile phone number
• The 5-digit PIN code you choose

In addition, during the ID check, DigiD processes the document number/driver's license number, date of birth, and validity.

By downloading and using the DigiD app, you agree to this data processing. The following provisions also apply:

1. The user's personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable privacy legislation. For more information about how personal data is processed by DigiD and for what purpose, refer to the privacy statement available at www.digid.nl.
2. Logius has implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect against the loss or unlawful processing of personal data.
3. The DigiD app complies with security measures that are comparable to those of DigiD and utilizes the security mechanisms of the operating system.
4. The user is responsible for the security of their mobile device.
5. Periodically, updates for the DigiD app may be automatically downloaded and installed via the app store. These updates aim to improve, expand, or further develop the app and may include solutions for program errors, advanced features, new software modules, or entirely new versions. Failure to install these updates may result in the DigiD app not functioning properly.
6. Logius reserves the right to (temporarily) remove the DigiD app from the app store or suspend its operation without providing reasons.
